At this time, it is only possible to order books from our website for delivery in the UK. If you live outside the UK, then we recommend sites including Book Depository and Wordery, who offer international delivery.

Delivery Charges

We offer all of our UK customers FREE DELIVERY on all orders over £15. 
For all orders totalling less than £15, a delivery charge of £1 per order will be charged.

If you are presented with the option of Free Delivery and delivery charged at £1 per order at the checkout, please always select Free Shipping, as we will be unable to refund the £1 charge. There is no service difference between these two options.

Delivery Timescales

We aim to dispatch your order in 2-3 working days. If you have not received your order within 7 working days, please do contact us so we can investigate further.

Privacy and Security

All transactions on our website, and access to the Your Account section of our website, are handled over a secure connection, protected by an SSL Certificate.

All payments are handled by Paypal, and we never have access to view or store your Credit or Debit card information through this service. All payments made through Paypal on our website will appear as 'PAYPAL*BLACKWHITEP'.

It is not a requirement that you create an account for our website, or Paypal. In both instances simply select 'Checkout as a Guest'. Further details can be found in the 'Ordering' section below.

On placing an order, details of your order, will be passed on to our distributor Grantham Book Services (GBS) for the purposes of fulfillment. No payment information will be passed onto GBS.

Returns and Replacements

As per Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order up until 14 days after you receive the goods. If the order has already been despatched, and you would like to return the item(s) for a full refund (including original shipping costs), you must contact us on the day you decide to make your return. We aim to respond within two working days, and will issue you with further return instructions. To contact us, e-mail, and mark your e-mail FAO Website Team. Alternatively, give us a call on 0131 625 4500 or use the Contact Us page. This initial contact must be made within 14 days of receiving your order, and we must receive the returned goods no later than 21 days after you received your order. Once the item has been received by us, we will issue a refund within 5 working days. Returned goods must be returned in a pristine resellable condition, as new. Return postage costs will be the responsibility of the customer, and will not be refunded by Black & White Publishing.

If your item is damaged when it arrives, or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us using the methods above, preferably with a picture of the damaged item (if by e-mail). If the packaging is also damaged, please also provide a picture of this if you can. We may request that you return the original item to us, but in these circumstances we will either provide paid postage for you to return the item, or refund the postage amount via Paypal. If you would rather cancel your order for a refund than recieve a direct replacement free of charge, please do let us know.

If you are returning part of an order which was part of a multi-item discount, or a promotional discount with a minimum order value (for example (but not limited to) Buy One Get One Half Price, 3 for 2, 2 books for £10, or 10% off orders over £20) and the remainder of your order would no longer have been eligible for this discount, you will be refunded only for that part of the order, minus the proportionate discount. For example if the item had an RRP of £9.99, and you received a 10% discount as part of a '10% off orders over £20' deal, you would be refunded £9. 

If returning goods to us, please request proof of postage from your local post office, in-case the item goes missing.

If contacting us regarding a return or replacement, please always provide us with a name, contact telephone number, e-mail address and your original order number.
