James Crosbie
James Crosbie was born in Glasgow in 1937, the middle son of three boys. At 15 he went to work in the Clydeside shipyards; at 17 he joined the RAF. Ever the adventurer, he spent several years in Ghana and Nigeria before becoming a private pilot. He started a successful furniture importing business but, despite its success, James turned to a life of crime. After twenty years behind bars, James Crosbie finally realised that crime doesn't pay and he is now a prize-winning author.
