THE SOLO VALENTINE
Perhaps Valentine’s Day
could be about counting
counting all the love
you have in your life
and giving gratitude for it
especially if you’re counting
the hard-won love
you found for yourself
along the way.
It’s not all hearts and flowers
no
but it is
very much
worth celebrating.
Those friends
who take time out of their day
to check your stress levels.
The family members
who are quite wonderfully
always there
in a crisis.
You are loved.
Look around
see it
be loved
feel loved
today
and every day.
